Say "Hello" to Our Sharecrow!

Last week, the kindergartners created a "sharecrow" in the Hilton Habitat to provide food for the birds and other wildlife during the chilly winter months. Visit the "Photos" page to "meet" him!!  A special thanks to the parents who helped us that day.

Can you se3 it?

As you read in my previous post, today is day 30.  During our math lesson, Brooke exclaimed, "I see a 3 in the tree and it's just perfect for today, isn't it Mrs. Gagné?"  I processed this for a moment then went to look out the window and exclaimed, "Oh my gosh! I see it, Brooke!!"  Well, all of the extra curious kindergartners came running to the window of course to see it, too.  The three in the tree!!!  AMAZING!

One more picture....

Happy 30th Day!

Zero the Hero stopped by again today as we celebrated day 30!!!  He left a special treat as he always does but he really made the kindergartners think today.  As you can see it was Twizzlers (yum!!) but the kids quickly told me that he must have made a mistake.  After a few minutes they figured out just what to do!

Greetings From Boyert's Farm!

We had such a great time last week at the farm!  I took sooo many pictures.  Here's a sneek peek.  I will post the rest later today or tomorrow.

Apple Fun!

We had fun learning about apples last week as we prepared for our upcoming trip to the farm.  The class loved the story about the little red house with no doors and windows and a star on the inside!  Can you guess what that may be?  We also did some tasting to determine which variety of apple we like best.

There's the star!
This is the little red house with no doors and windows and the star on the inside!

Hmmm...what does the graph tell you?

How about now?

Which kind of apple had the most?  Least?  What else can you tell from the graph?
