Merry Merry!

It's almost time to celebrate Christmas!  It's been so much fun watching the excitement build in your child this month.  We had so many fun days that hopefully created a lasting memory for him/her (and you). I cannot wait to hear all about the holidays when we return to school in January.

This is the link to the book Naughty or Nice that we watched at Cookies and Milk last week.

Finally, I posted many pictures today from past events.  I got a bit behind but hopefully seeing all of them will be worth the wait.  So, scroll down and you'll see all of them.

P.S.  I almost forgot the cutest ornaments (from the slideshow you saw at Cookies and Milk).........
I couldn't post that here as the file isn't supported by Blogger so please check your email.

Cookies and Milk With the Kindergartners

It was great welcoming the families to the second annual "Cookies and Milk" event on Friday, December 13th.  The kids worked very hard to lovingly make some special gifts that they enjoyed giving.  I couldn't stop smiling as I looked around and saw all of the happiness.  I hope it's a memory you made with your child that you'll always cherish.

All Aboard!!

We celebrated the classic book The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg just in time for the Holidays!  We compared and contrasted the book with the movie.  Wearing jammies to school was so much fun!

Run, Run, As Fast As You Can......

....did we catch the Gingerbread Man???

One December day, a package arrived from the office marked
"To the Kindergartners, From the Gingerbread Man! Catch me if you can!"
This started a hunt around the school in search of him (A very excited, noisy hunt I must say!).  He left some clues and we followed the sweet cinnamon-smelling trail. The kids were overjoyed and extremely'll see that in the pictures below!

Mrs. D delivered this to us....

There was a note inside and some gingerbread man cookies!  The chase was on.....

"We are coming to get you Gingerbread Man!!"

First stop was the library....

Well, we found one but he wasn't our guy!

Mrs. Blaustein read the note and off to the office we went....

Not here either!  Maybe Mr. Hartland's office???

Nope!  And, no Mr. Hartland!  This note was sending us to the kitchen.

On the way, we saw Mrs. Kavinsky's class in the hallway.  We thought this might be him but is wasn't!

The note in the kitchen told us to go back to our room!

There he is!

We love him!

To eat or not to eat?  We voted and.........

Gone!  So ends the tale of our Gingerbread Man!

Happy 50th Day of School!

Before Thanksgiving we celebrated our 50th day of school!  We had so much fun dressing up like we were straight off the set of The Happy Days!  We worked with our other kindergarten friends all morning on some math concepts all with the number 50 in mind, then went to the sock hop, then to the drive-in and finally to the diner for a special lunch.
